5 Star ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for personal data processed through this website, joinfivestar.co.uk. Contact us at contact@joinfivestar.co.uk for anything relating to this policy or your data.
2. What data we collect
This website has no forms, no analytics, and no advertising or tracking scripts. We do not collect any personal data automatically from your visit beyond standard, non-identifying web server logs (e.g. IP address and request timestamp) kept briefly for security and reliability.
The only personal data we hold is what you choose to send us directly — for example by emailing contact@joinfivestar.co.uk. That typically includes your name, email address, business details, and whatever else you include in your message.
3. Why we process it (lawful basis)
- To respond to your enquiry and take steps towards a potential engagement, at your request (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR — steps prior to a contract).
- Where that doesn't apply, on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to business correspondence sent to us (Article 6(1)(f)).

We keep correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected for — generally, for the life of any resulting engagement plus a reasonable period afterwards for legal and accounting purposes — or until you ask us to delete it, whichever is relevant.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. Email you send us is processed through our email provider (Zoho), acting as a data processor under its own terms, primarily hosted within the EU. We do not share your data with any other third party except where required by law.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request erasure of your personal data, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to data portability where applicable. To exercise any of these, email contact@joinfivestar.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
